Those searching for towers of mollusks, caviar, and oyster po ‘boys for lunch are in luck, because newcomer Rappahannock Oyster Company recently opened for midday meals at the Cigar Factory. The seafood-heavy eatery is now open at 11:30 a.m. every day with brunch on the weekends. Happy hour is still going on from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the week and outdoor seating is finally in place.

Look for updated dishes like fish Milanese with baby greens, oyster po’ boy with tomatillo salsa verde, charred radicchio salad with farmer cheese and Sicilian pistachio, and shrimp and grits with black garlic and chili oil.

The restaurant offers the abbreviated brunch menu along with the lunch menu. New additions like shrimp toast, a hangtown fry, and kimchi pancakes are coming soon.

In addition to new services, the Rappahannock retail deli case (which includes wines and beers) launched with seafood used in house with an expanding list of mignonettes and other sauces.
