According to employees at Bull Street Gourmet, the Lower King retail and dining stop will close its doors on Friday, April 28. Multiple patrons have reported deep discounts on booze and other items in the store.
The namesake location of Bull Street Gourmet closed in 2013, and the King Street store remained. The larger location was a popular location for the South of Broad set to grab a quick breakfast, sit down for lunch, or pick up a dinner to go.
The shop changed hands last year, and it announced a new chef, general manager, and hours. The wine prices went up a bit. There were fewer retail products. Many regular patrons made remarks that it “wasn’t the same.”
Representatives for Bull Street Gourmet have not responded to Eater’s request for a statement.
