Branding for The Harbinger
The Harbinger

Entrepreneurs Greer Gilchrist and Cameron Neal want to bring a new daytime dining option to the Wagener Terrace neighborhood. Set to open in May, The Harbinger Cafe & Bakery will offer pastries, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches and salads at lunch, and happy hour from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with beer, wine, and bar snacks.

According to an employment post in a Charleston vegetarian and vegan group, Gilchrist was the former pastry chef at veg-friendly Gnome Cafe.

The cafe sits at 1107 King St., neighboring the Charleston Boxing Club. A quick look at Neal’s Instagram account shows renovations to the outside of the building.

If The Harbinger is hiring now, the space must be close to opening. Keep an eye here for more details on dates, menus, photos of pastries, and more.
