ANSONBOROUGH — Market Street eatery 5Church hosts its first Somm Series with beverage director Patricia Smith on Tuesday, April 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Smith will guide a group of 25 guests through an interactive tasting in the restaurant’s private dining room. CANNONBOROUGH/ELLIOTBOROUGH — On Thursday, April 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., sandwich masters Artisan Meat Share team up with Founders Brewing and Bell’s Brewery a bit of the Midwest to Charleston. The Michigan Beer Takeover will feature Founders Centennial (on tap), Founders KBS (bottle), Founders All Day IPA (can), Bell's Mars (on tap), Bell's Oberon (can), Bell's Oarsman (can), and Bell's Oatsmobile (can). Guests will also get a taste of chef Bob Cook’s Michigan roots with specials like smoked white fish, fried lake perch, pickled eggs, and more.

CANNONBOROUGH/ELLIOTBOROUGH — Stop by Spring Street stunner Cannon Green for a pop-up, happy hour market happening once a month on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dubbed “Local Makers and Shakers on the Mezzanine,” the event will highlight local artisans. On Wednesday, April 25, Ashley Martin of GOLDBUG, Marion Blount of Open Door Shop , and Emily Papuga of Suite 33 will be in attendance with their wares.
