How much tequila was consumed?

Actor/French fry thief Bill Murray has the power to get into Charleston restaurants before they even open. Last night, forthcoming taco and mezcal stop Pancito & Lefty posted a photo of the restaurant staff with Murray, claiming him as their first customer.

Not everyone would be able to handle the Stripes star at a soft opening. Murray is friendly with Pancito & Lefty co-owner Jimmy Poole — he’s a regular at Poole’s other venture The Alley. Murray was among one of the first customers for that establishment as well.

Pancito & Lefty isn’t open to the public yet, but it’s looking like it could happen any day now. Once the North Central eatery opens, expect Mexican-influenced fare, an outdoor patio, lots of tequila, and maybe, just maybe Mr. Lost in Translation pouring shots behind the bar.
