Remember the dark days of the Charleston International Airport? Just a few years ago, hungry travelers were forced to settle on pre-packaged sandwiches and celery in a bloody mary for nourishment. Then it got really bad during terminal construction, and a vending machine was the only hope for calories. Now CHS boasts a DeSano Bakery, Caviar and Bananas — even a Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Grill. Over the weekend, a new eatery joined the ranks. Familiar to downtown sports fans, Charleston Beer Works opened in Concourse A.
The airport version of the draft house includes pub favorites like chicken wings, cheesesteaks, nachos, giant pretzels, and more. The drinks menu also offers local choices in beers, classic cocktails, and wine. Now before flights, travelers can knock back a few brews, gorge on hot wings and hot dogs, and then try not to pass out before boarding a flight. Check out the full menu here from 12ptcreative.
