The team behind Polynesian-themed bar South Seas Tiki Lounge expands its reach this evening with South Seas Sushi. The new Ann Street addition is next door to the bar, in the former coffee bar space of the shuttered restaurant Feathertop.

The South Seas Sushi menu features an “Ooh-Mami Bar” with rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The restaurant will also offer dumplings, noodle bowls, and chicken karaage.

The reopening of the neighboring space is the beginning of the South Seas expansion. The website hints that two more spots are on the way: Cantina and Stuffed Avocado. So, perhaps Mexican and Millennial Instagram bait? With all these spaces together, the building has been reimagined as the South Seas Oasis.

South Seas Oasis opens Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 5 p.m. Find the tropical bar at 23 Ann St.
