Tour Vintage Lounge Before the Big Opening

Stop in for a wine on Upper King

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

Located in the former Torch space at 545 King St., Vintage Lounge will soon open as a haven for oenophiles and fondue fanatics. Restaurateur Mike Shuler (Blind Tiger, Midtown, and Trio) set out to create a sophisticated space where wine drinkers can duck out of the Upper King scene and enjoy a few glasses with snacks.

General manager/Charleston sommelier Nathan Wheeler (formerly of Bin 152) will be joined behind the bar by Kyle Norton (formerly of 167 Raw) and Tim Logan (formerly of Outta My Huevos).

The beverage menu lists wines in categories like “Crisp Zippy Fresh” and “Bold Round Rich.” There are also wine cocktails and wine flights. The food menu is full of meat and cheese selections, as well as fondue offerings and small plates.

Vintage Lounge could be open as soon as this weekend, so take a tour around the interiors and back patio here first. Betsy Berry of B. Berry Interiors is the mastermind behind the details.
