Sichuan Food Pops Up at The Daily

NORTH CENTRAL — Chef David Schuttenberg, formerly of Fish, announced to Post & Courier that he will host Sichuan pop-ups at The Daily from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Titled Kwei Fei, the Sichuan nights will debut on October 28. Prior to moving to Charleston, Schuttenberg spent six year working at Malaysian restaurant Fatty Crab. [PC]

GOAT ISLAND — Former Cypress chef Craig Deihl and Goat Island Gatherings are hosting a Meat on Goat fundraiser to benefit Butchers of America. Before Deihl goes to compete at The World Butchers Challenge in Belfast, Ireland, in March, he wants to cook up a lot of meat for the Lowcountry. On Saturday, October 14, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests will get to feast on charcuterie, Lowcountry boil, porchetta, ribeyes, sausages, and more.
