What did you you eat over the weekend? If it wasn’t a cheeseburger covered in luscious truffles, then who cares? On Friday, chef Vinson Petrillo unleashed a beautiful creation on Instagram. Petrillo is known for his intricate and artful plates at Zero Restaurant + Bar, but on that day he decided to highlight his ode to a Five Guys burger — but with winter truffles sprinkled on the patties. Only available at the bar, this tempting indulgence will set you back $33. Truffles are pricey, in case you didn’t know.
The photo even caught the eye of chef Sean Brock, so you’ll be fighting him for the limited amount of cheeseburgers available at the Zero bar. Supplies will run for about two weeks until truffles are all gone. Petrillo has found a way to bring the luxury item to a humble dish — and we’re hearing it’s one of the best stacks in town. If you go, let us know what you think.
