Two closures and one opening

When one taco shop closes, another taco shop opens — right? In the case of downtown Charleston, two Mexican influenced eateries shuttered and one soft launched. According to City Paper, tamale spot Apartment A and petite counter Taco Spot let the leases lapse and have closed. There is hope however. For those in need of tequila and quesadillas near the corner of Coming and Spring Streets, simply head west towards the newly opened Nacha Mama Taqueria. The new Mexican-themed eatery takes over the former Garcia’s Tortilla House space at 100 Spring St., next to the Veggie Bin.

The original Nacha Mama’s on Bohicket Marina serves fusion tacos, like fried chicken and bulgogi versions, fajitas, coconut rice bowls, queso, nachos, and large plates like “Mexi Mac & Cheese.”

Soft opening and new dining room and bar!!!
