Over the weekend, 114 Saint Philip St. sprang to life as Greek restaurant Stella’s unlocked the doors for a soft opening. Owner Steven Niketas shut down new American concept The Westendorff in October of last year to transition the address to a Charleston version of the Richmond-based Stella’s concept. The newcomer is a partnership between Niketas and friends Johnny and Katrina Giavos, who have ran the original Stella’s with chef Stella Dikos.

The restaurant serves classic Greek dishes like grilled halloumi, moussaka, keftedes, and more. Stella’s already has five stars on Yelp (there are only two reviews, but they are outstanding).

Stella’s opens today for lunch service at 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with happy hour from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The restaurant opens Monday through Saturday with the promise of Greek brunch on Sundays soon.
