With the excitement of the news that chef Josh Keeler’s famous burger would live on at his new home 492, the rest of the brunch menu items didn’t really come up in that moment. Today, Keeler shows off the rest of the offerings available at 492 King St. on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
From soft scramble with trout roe to an omelette with potatoes aligot, some of the items are familiar to fans of Keeler’s work at the former Two Boroughs Larder, but a few differ. When asked about the distinctions, Keeler explains that he thinks there will always be overlap, but now he has the backing of a pastry department, which can offer danishes and fluffy biscuits. He’s also excited that now guests can have cocktails with the meal — something TBL wasn’t able to offer.
“We’re trying to bring people in here during the day and create a fun and exciting atmosphere,” says Keeler, “We want to elevate brunch, but in an approachable way.”
