Sure Charleston brunches are great, but did you think they are lacking in porchetta, chicken saltimbocca, and pastas? Then you’re in luck, because recently-opened Le Farfalle starts an Italian-inspired brunch service this Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Le Farfalle partitions the brunch menu into four categories: Breakfast, Pasta, Sandwiches, and Salads. The offerings range from avocado toast with poached eggs to the Toscano family chorizo and egg platter with “Mexican sausage scrambled eggs, house made flour tortillas, charred tomatillo salsa, refried beans, and griddled potatoes.” Also of interest is chef Michael Toscano’s take on a burger with house-ground ribeye, rosemary garlic cheese, grilled onion, and porcini mustard.
You can see the entire brunch menu here, along with some new hot takes on mid-morning cocktails:
Go check it out this weekend and report back with opinions and photos.
