Restaurateur Maudell "Dell" Grayson and her crew took over the kitchen at Upper King’s Midtown Bar & Grill, in September 2015, to serve a menu of Dell'z Deli favorites to lunch and late night crowds. Today, a tipster noticed that the signage for the eatery went missing, and has been replaced with Pizza King logos.

Dell’z was an evening haven for vegetarians seeking sustenance after the bars or a lighter lunch option for downtown office workers. Pizza King, while not as focused on the vegetarian options, will most likely serve as a refuge for the Upper King crowds in need of late night nourishment to combat all the beers.

Pizza King owners Derek and Craig Falta have worked in many Charleston kitchens, including the former Chai’s Lounge, Fish, and Cru Café.

The menu for Pizza King includes pies by the slice, buffalo chicken dip, cheese fries, lamb pitas, a double cheeseburger, and more.
