Heirloom vegetable tatted chef Sean Brock announced last night that his newest venture McCrady’s Tavern would begin brunch service this Saturday and Sunday. It should come as no surprise to those familiar with Brock’s oeuvre that the menu is not the typical pancakes and goat cheese omelette affair. Starting at 10:30 a.m. today, guests will find hot browns (click here for a video preview), patty melts, French omelettes with dressed lettuces, quiche lorraine, and more.
The brunch menu also pulls some of the greatest hits from the dinner menu, like the caviar presentation and the escargot stuffed marrow bone. For those who haven’t visited, the McCrady’s Tavern concept draws from the Gilded Age of dining with a lively atmosphere and “craveable” food. Brock even promises Van Halen at brunch (the music, not the actual band, but you never know).
