NOMO — The rediscovery of heirloom grain Seashore Rye is cause for celebration this Sunday, August, 28. Slow Food Charleston’s Ark of Taste happy hour and dinner will showcase the ingredient, along with other local products. Participating chefs include David Bancroft of Acre Restaurant, Auburn, Tyler Brown of Southall Farms, Franklin, John Currence of City Grocery, Oxford, Reid Henninger of Edmund’s Oast, Joe Kindred of Kindred, Davidson, Jacques Larson of Wild Olive and Obstinate Daughter, Matthew Raiford of The Farmer and the Larder, Brunswick, and Nathan Richard of Kingfish, New Orleans. NOMO — Lewis Barbecue starts happy hour next Tuesday, August 30. On Tuesdays through Fridays, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., drink specials include $5 margaritas, $5 aqua frescos, and $3 Modelo and Shiner Bock drafts. [EaterWire]

NOMO Home Team BBQ’s downtown location will host a late night happy hour full of dry smoked wings and rosé from Wolffer Estate Vineyards on Thursday, September 1, starting at 10:00 p.m. The special menu will offer $5 dry rosé cider, $7 rosé cider cocktail, and $10 for six wings and a glass of rosé or cider available at the bar.
