Taco vendor Nacha Mama’s, a current staple of Bohicket Marina, will open a second location in the Cannonborough/Elliotborough neighborhood this fall. The Mexican-themed eatery takes over the former Garcia’s Tortilla House space at 100 Spring St., next to the Veggie Bin.

Garcia’s was a favorite among deal seekers and homemade tortilla fanatics. The establishment was known for low prices and San Antonio-style breakfast tacos.

The original Nacha Mama’s serves fusion tacos, like fried chicken and bulgogi versions, fajitas, coconut rice bowls, queso, nachos, and large plates like “Mexi Mac & Cheese.”

According to online comments in the Cannonborough/Elliotborough neighborhood Facebook group, the Spring Street location will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The newcomer also has plans to add a bar (presumably for margaritas).
