Neighborhood Dining Group announced that July 30 will be the last service for McCrady’s at its current 2 Unity Alley address. The restaurant will relocate to a 22-seat space at 155 East Bay St. (the original Minero spot) to make way for new concept McCrady’s Tavern.
Pitched as a "lively, everyday gathering place," McCrady’s Tavern will be a more casual restaurant than its predecessor. Neighborhood Dining Group says that the updated eatery at 2 Unity Alley will open for dinner on August 11 and lunch service will start August 25.
In addition to the changes in the address, there are also staff switches at the restaurant. Former Macintosh General Manager Tommy Marcinko will be the new GM at McCrady’s and McCrady’s Tavern. John Sleasman moves up to chef de cuisine at McCrady’s from his previous role as executive sous chef. Justin Cherry, who worked as chef de cuisine at Husk, will now be chef de cuisine at McCrady’s Tavern.
Sean Brock will be executive chef of both McCrady’s and McCrady’s Tavern, while Sleasman and Cherry will oversee day-to-day culinary operations at their respective restaurants.
