It's the day meat lovers have waited for, for almost two years — Lewis Barbecue opens the doors at 11:00 a.m. today. John Lewis, the acclaimed pitmaster of La Barbecue in Austin, brings Texas-style smoked meats to full-time status this week, and if the Instagrams from the friends and family nights are any indication, the Holy City is ready for Lewis's brand of beef.
Take a look at what happened at 464 Nassau St. over the weekend, and then go judge the restaurant for yourself this week, starting today.
Seriously delicious BBQ. Thanks for having us! @lewisbarbecue, @barweaver, @garbatron1
