McCrady's Switches Gears, Will Revamp Into a 'Lively, Everyday Gathering Place'

Big changes for Sean Brock's first Charleston restaurant

Huge news just came through from the Neighborhood Dining Group on its fine dining institution McCrady's:

In late summer 2016, McCrady’s will move to an adjacent space and offer an evolution of the McCrady’s tasting menu experience. The current McCrady’s space will honor it rich history by transitioning back to its original purpose as a lively, everyday gathering place, and it will once again be known as McCrady’s Tavern.

No other details are available at this time. Presumably, the "new tasting menu experience" concept will go into the former Minero space — though, this is not confirmed. [Update: NDG confirmed the new McCrady's will go into the address formerly held by Minero]

Chef Sean Brock recently celebrated 10 years as the helm of McCrady's this year. A "lively, everyday gathering place" will be quite the change, as most people currently think of the restaurant as a formal, special occasion stop.

Stay tuned as more details come.
