Last Friday, restaurateurs Damon Wise and Jonathan Buckley opened the second concept in their row of dining establishments housed in a former train depot. Feathertop, located at 23 Ann St., is bright with natural wood, skim-coated brick, and mid-century pieces
The menu at Feathertop, from Wise and chef de cuisine Ray England, leans light with dishes full of vegetables, local seafood, and homemade pastas. In addition to the handsome 65-seat dining room, Feathertop guests can sit outside.
Inside the space, an all day coffee and wine bar recently opened with Nicaraguan coffee entrepreneur Cesar Vega at the helm. The coffee starts flowing at 9:00 a.m., and dinner service for Feathertop starts at 5:00 p.m. This upcoming Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29 will mark the first brunch services for the restaurant from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Update: Feathertop will also be open on Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day brunch.
Here, photographer Leslie McKellar tours the space.
