Start Monday off with a fancy grilled panini and hand-spun custard at Summerville's latest addition Persimmon Cafe. The second eatery from restaurateur Rob Cassi sits at 1097 Main St., Summerville (in the Earth Fare shopping center). The new location has the same menu as the original downtown location, but comes without the laundromat.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. today, and the first 100 guests receive a gift from Persimmon Cafe, with a chance to win free gourmet sandwiches for a year.
Hours for the Summerville store are Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
