WEST ASHLEY — Chef Benjamin Dennis and farmer Tank Jackson team up to host a Sunday supper on May 22, starting at 4:30 p.m. The event will be held at a private residence in West Ashley, overlooking the Stono River. The spread will include heirloom vegetables cooked in traditional Gullah/Geechee fashion, a suckling pig stuffed with Sea Island sweet onions, and other local bounty. EASTSIDE —  Pop-up queens The Bad Bitches will take over contemporary art gallery The Southern on June 4 for a dinner inspired by featured artist Kelly Lu. The dinner will showcase the food of Sarah Adams, former sous chef  of FIG and the front-of-house talents of Nikki Anhalt. Tickets for the dinner are $90. If that's too steep for you, stop by the after party for $25 — there will be a dancing, drinks, and Short Grain food truck will be on hand, starting at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are available online (scroll toward the bottom).
