For the non-beer nerds: Brooklyn-based restaurant Luksus is the only Michelin-starred restaurant to serve multi-course dinners with beer pairings exclusively — no cocktails and no wine. This is important to know because the Lukus chef Daniel Burns and gypsy brewer/founder of Evil Twin Brewing Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø have a cookbook out titled Food & Beer. They plan to promote the book with a launch party at Charleston's Edmund's Oast.
Co-owner of Edmund's Oast Scott Shor claims Jarnit-Bjergsø as a longtime friend and says he's "super pumped" to host a launch event and dinner to celebrate Food & Beer.
The party takes place on June 22 with three seatings (6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.) for a five-course dinner from Burns and Edmund's Oast chef Reid Henninger. The courses will come with beer pairings from Jarnit-Bjergsø. Tickets are $95 per person and include the dinner, a copy of Food & Beer, and a special collector’s glass. Couple's tickets are $165 with one copy of the book.
