Right on the heels of Wise Buck Smoked Meats, the second concept from chef Damon Wise and brand builder Jonathan Buckley, Feathertop, opens this Friday, May 20. Whereas Wise Buck Smoked Meats is the most casual of the Scarecrow & Co. restaurant group, Feathertop will be the mid-level concept.
The Feathertop menu showcases the "bounty of the Lowcountry," with dishes like "Mepkin Abbey mushrooms, cashew miso & asparagus; pimento spaghetti with local peppers, smoked almond & whey; Manchester Farms quail, coffee molasses & Anson Mills farro." Chef Wise and Chef de Cuisine Ray England emphasis seasonal produce, local seafood, and housemade pasta.
The Ann Street restaurant will start out with dinner service only, at 5:00 p.m., but will eventually add brunch and lunch. Guests can check out the space during earlier hours from the all-day coffee and wine bar.
Find Feathertop at 23 Ann St.: Sunday through Tuesday 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Look for additional services to be added in June.
