With a nice view of King Street

Last year, Eater confirmed that two-level tavern Boone's Bar was to shutter the doors after five years on King Street, but then it never actually closed. An investor swooped in and kept the bar going at the last minute. Many of the staff and patrons left Boone's, because no one knew a surprise savior would keep it open.

After a few months of convincing former guests, "Yes, we're still open," Boone's wanted to premiere a new addition to entice new patrons. The owners have renovated the second floor to create more space and plan to remake the patio. Assistant General Manager and Marketing & Events Coordinator for Boone's, Hayley Nelson explains,

We are thankfully still open and gearing up for a busy spring! Our new owners just did a massive remodel on our upstairs, which we are now referring to as the Second Story at Boone's. Double entendre there — it obviously refers to the second floor of the building, but also to 'Part 2' of the Boone's saga under new ownership. We're excited for the community to see the space, which we are planning to rent for wedding after parties, corporate events, etc.
