Believe or not, Charleston Wine + Food starts next week. The tents are going up in Marion Square as we type. If you dropped the ball back in September, tickets are still available. Here are a few worth looking at:

  • Be inspired by some of the top culinary minds in Charleston at Pecha Kucha + Wine + Food. Each presenter will have 6 minutes and 40 seconds to speak their passions. The lineup includes Alluette Jones (Alluette’s Cafe), Justin Buchanan (Red Harbor Rum), Margaret Seeley Furniss (Caviar & Bananas), Michael Blake (Teach the Need), Quintin Middleton (Middleton Made Knives), Scott Shor (Edmund’s Oast), Thomas Bowen (Cycles Compost Charleston), and Will Altman ( Righteous Ranch). For $40, attendees get a dose of inspiration and snacks and beverages from top food trucks and mixologists. March 4 | 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | Sottile Theatre at College of Charleston | $40
  • If you participated in the downtown drinking scene in the late 90s or early aughts, then you've probably shot your fair amount of Grand Marnier (GrandMa). Learn the correct way to sip the spirit at Higher Marques: Grand Marnier + Cheese. Justin Cochren of the House of Marnier Lapostolle will lead guests through a tasting of different cuvées and rare cheese pairings. March 4 | 3:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. | The Westendorff | $95
  • Want to sample every Charleston restaurant in one night? Well, that would be impossible, but you can try dishes from over 35 local chefs at Opening Night: Cheers to Charleston! It's a chance for everyone to dress up and catch up before Wine + Food really kicks into high gear. March 2 | 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | The Gaillard | $150
  • In case you stumbled upon a pile of cash this week and thought, "I'd like to go to a super stunning dinner full of kick-ass female chefs and Vintage 2002 Krug Champagne," then you should immediately purchase a ticket to North + South + East + West: Le Tour Des Femmes. Chefs Kim Floresca (One Restaurant), Suzanne Cupps (Untitled), Mashama Bailey (The Grey), Melissa Perello (Octavia), Nicole Krasinski (State Bird Provisions), and Michelle Weaver of (Charleston Grill) will create a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience for guests. Dress is black tie and the Krug will flow — all very next-level fancy. March 5 | 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | 2 Water St. (Private Residence) | $750
None of these have you pulling out the credit card? Here's a few more events.
