When The Darling Oyster Bar announced it would take over the former Union Provisions space on Upper King, many wondered what the restaurant would be able to provide that the numerous other oyster/fried fish establishments around town didn't offer. While consulting chef Nathan Thurston and executive chef Joe DiMaio leaked a few hints about the menu, they repeated that it would be a casual type of fish house.

It's not until today we can accurately analyze what to expect from the kitchen. Appetizers are kept in the $4-$11 range, with fried, raw, and baked seafood options (and hush puppies), the lobster S.O.S. (yep, that stands for what you think it does) hits at $25, and fry baskets start at $17.
