Secret family recipes were supposed to happen this summer at Cinco Tex-Mex, but these things tend to get delayed. Visitors east of the Cooper will have to wait until early 2017 to sample Tex-Mex fare at 1035 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. The new restaurant planning to offer a "simple, honest, authentic, elegant, and fun" experience is currently hiring for the front of house and back of house. The listing states, “We are currently looking to fill all BOH and FOH positions for our opening, with hours available as early as mid-December.”
Cinco comes from former tech accessory agent Roberto Perez-Vega. The new restaurateur wants to share his "love and heritage" of Tex-Mex (and secret family recipes) with Charleston.
Keep an eye here for more details (and sightings of fajitas) as they come along the way.
