Grab your tacky Rudolph sweaters and Santa hats because The Gin Joint will transform into an “over-the-top holiday themed pop-up bar” this holiday season. Brace for kitschy decorations, lots of Christmas lights, cookies, Chex mix, and themed cocktails starting November 25.
New York cocktail aficionado Greg Boehm started this holiday pop-up concept in 2014 as Miracle on 9th Street at NYC bar Mace. This year, Miracle expanded the merriment across the globe, partnering with The Gin Joint and more than 30 other bars to recreate the original concept.
Miracle’s cocktail menu, created by Mace’s bartender Nico de Soto, features libations with names like Brazen Blitzen, Jingle Bell Nog, and Bad Santa, served over snow balls, in Santa mugs, or perhaps garnished with pine needles.
The month-long pop-up will also be the first time in The Gin Joint’s history that the bar will have vodka on its menu — that has to be worth throwing on a tacky sweater to see.
