Southern brasserie Henrietta’s sits handsomely at the corner of Meeting and Henrietta Streets with a classic-meets-new-produce menu and a stunning atmosphere.
Critic Hanna Raskin called the restaurant “dazzlingly good-looking and primed for revisiting. Other new restaurants may be more daring or more hard-charging right now, but downtown needed a constant place like this, with charging outlets under the bar tables and righteously crisped French fries.”
Now, along with those perky frites comes a killer happy hour deal. Yesterday, Henrietta’s announced on Instagram that between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, the restaurant will offer $1.50 raw oysters, $3.50 draft beers, and $5.00 house wine. Cheap beers in a magically mid-century modern setting? Yes, please.
Henrietta’s anchors one corner of the beautiful Dewberry hotel overlooking Marion Square at 334 Meeting St. The adjacent bar/lounge The Living Room opens all day for your wifi/coffee/cocktail needs.
