Miss the beef tartare with delicate pancakes from the now-defunct Two Boroughs Larder? Well, we’ve got the word on a hook up for you. Now that TBL chef Josh Keeler is at the helm of Upper King corner 492, the menu greatly reflects his former restaurant — which will be a comfort for those going through withdrawals.
For starters, there’s a gem lettuce salad with a horseradish vinaigrette, pickled shrimp with popcorn mayo, or Spanish octopus with mushroom conserva — the burnt whole wheat tonnarelli stayed from previous chef Nate Whiting’s menu. And while the TBL noodle bowl doesn’t make an appearance in the entrees, guests can feast on deckle with black garlic bordelaise and pommes macaire or lamb porterhouse with marble potatoes, cucumber, and Greek yogurt. For the full menu, check out 492’s website.
