With delay after delay on French-Mexican/Southern Charm restaurant Generalísimo, many began to wonder if the place would ever open. Today comes official word that restaurateur Bryan Kestner and his concept are out from Upper King, and Charlotte-based group Bottle Cap Group will bring "eclectic restaurant" Ink n Ivy to the Lowcountry.

Bottle Cap Group holds a number of restaurants across the Carolinas, including Snapper Jack's at Folly Beach. The Ink n Ivy planned for 565 King St. will be one of three planned to open this year, with other locations in Charlotte, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina.

From the Bottle Cap Group, here's the description for Ink n Ivy:

Eat, Drink n Be Social, that’s what Ink n Ivy was created for!  All are welcome, dressed to the nines or dressed down in your favorite tee, the atmosphere of this eclectic restaurant is all about being yourself and eating the food you love.

As soon as you walk through the door you’ll be blown away by the aroma of delectable American cuisine, engrossed by the choices of raw and fresh seafood, seared & sizzling certified Angus steak, and delighted by the superb selection of cool cocktails customized by our expert bartenders, craft beers with both local and international appeal, and an extensive wine list sure to please any palette.

To enhance your experience further, Ink n Ivy is located at 565 King Street in Charleston. Not only do you get the outdoor garden experience, but the inside of Ink n Ivy is sleek and sexy from floor to ceiling, offering something aesthetically pleasing for everyone. You can sit down at one of the button tufted booths, enjoying the wood slab tables, high-ceiling chandeliers and move to the beat of the overhead music, all while sipping your favorite drink or cocktail.

The menu is chef-inspired, crafted and created for everyone, even those who are dining in a group, as a couple or even individually. The raw bar is delectable and full of an array of choices, while the menu boasts satiable American cuisine with an elegant twist.

Prepare to be "blown away by the aroma of delectable American cuisine" at Ink n Ivy this spring. Stay tuned for updates as they come.
