Grand Bohemian Charleston's fourth floor restaurant Élevé opened this weekend along with the rest of the hotel. Executive chef Ryley McGillis hails from Jasmine Porch at The Sanctuary, and his menu reflects a new American sensibility. Representatives from Grand Bohemian say they didn't want a necessarily Southern menu, but wanted to be mindful of their surroundings, which is where the touches from Charleston Receipts come in. McGillis borrows bits from the classic tome, like Mrs. T, Ladson Webb Jr's French dressing or Mrs. John McGowan's Roquefort cheese cake. The dinner offerings lean heavily on seafood and classic sides.
Here's the Élevé menu in it's entirety.
