Burger Week at Butcher & Bee; Mushroom Gathering at GrowFood Carolina

And a Charleston Wine + Food Festival Boozy Brunch.

EVENTWIRE — On Friday, August 28, farmer friend GrowFood Carolina celebrates the bounty of mushrooms with the help from local chefs. The celebration starts at 6:00 p.m. with food from Ari Kolender (Leon’s Oyster Shop), Travis Grimes (Husk), Kevin Getz (Indaco), Craig Deihl (Cypress and Artisan Meat Share), Shuai Wang (Short Grain Food Truck), Russ Moore (Slightly North of Broad), and Jason Ulak (Five Loaves/Sesame). Local beers and Cannonborough Beverage Co. sodas will be served as well. Tickets are $45/$30 for students and military and are available online. [EaterWire]

EVENTWIRE — If you're into booze and brunch, mark those calendars for September 13 at 11:30 a.m. That's when the Charleston Wine + Food Festival will celebrate their 11th ticket launch with a daytime soiree at 1096 Navy Way. All the bold name chefs and bartenders will be in attendance. The tickets are $50 and available online. The description of the event states, "Boaters and pearls optional. EVENTWIRE — Starting tomorrow, it's Burger Week at Upper, Upper King favorite Butcher & Bee. Usually offered only on the weekends, these meat (and veg) patties on pillowy buns will be available throughout the week in different iterations. Chef Chelsey Conrad plans to offer three to four different burgers each day, ranging from the classic B&B burger to a chorizo burger to a veggie version. The entire list of offerings is below:
