The highly-anticipated soda shop Parlor Deluxe opens Thursday, August 27 at 5:00 p.m. This St. Philip Street eatery comes from the same co-owners as neighboring bar Warehouse. Co-owner James B. Groetzinger spent the summer putting the finishing touches on the interiors, and it's almost ready for public viewing. Parlor Deluxe hosted soft openings all weekend in anticipation of the Thursday opening.

Diners of the Warehouse will recognize chef Emily Hahn's touches on the Parlor menu, as she created the snacks with the same elevated comfort food mindset she uses at the bar across the street. There's hot dog flavors from around the world, including a Hawaiian version and a Greek-influenced choice, and waffles topped with pb&j, miso butterscotch, or lemon curd. Oh, and of course, there's ice cream and Cannonborough Beverage Co. sodas. Below is the entire menu.

And tater tots — how could we forget about the tots?
