Downtown favorite The Tattooed Moose officially opens its second location, at 3328 Maybank Hwy., on Tuesday, August 25. The Johns Island establishment will have everything fans love about the original location, but with more space, more beers on draft, a kid's menu, and macaroni and cheese as a side item.

The new restaurant is a bit more pristine than the grungy original Tattooed Moose, but co-owner Jen Kulick says they will encourage artists and visitors to mark up the bathrooms, tables, and walls with graffiti, to give the place a bit more character. And the most important part of the decor — there's another iconic moose head above the bar.

The Johns Island location keeps the same hours as the downtown eatery: 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., seven days a week, with brunch on Sundays until 3:00 p.m.
