Chef Alex Lira recently announced he left James Island's The Lot, on Instagram. After his departure, sous chef RJ Dye stepped into the role of executive chef at the local-focused eatery. Dye came to The Lot in February after working at The Ordinary and FIG.
City Paper editor Kinsey Gidick spoke with Lira, who said he won't be leaving Charleston any time soon. She also wrote that Lira hinted at a new project.
