When former Prohibition chef Stephen Thompson took leave to tackle the world of food trucks, someone had to fill in at the Upper King cocktail bar/restaurant. Yesterday, co-owner James Walsh announced Prohibition recruited Greg Garrison to lead the kitchen. Garrison came to Charleston by way of Boston, where he worked as sous chef at French fine dining space L’Espalier.
Garrison explained his thoughts for the kitchen with, "foraging, gardening and seeing nature is what I love about cooking… I want to see what’s happening, what’s classic in Charleston and then put my own spin on it."
Walsh said they are very excited to have Garrison on the team.
