Crooked Crown to Offer King of Pops and Cocktails This Fall

Booze + Icy Treats

King of Pops
Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

Charleston's favorite popsicle brigade King of Pops plans to set up a bricks and mortar store this fall.  Co-owner Andy McCarthy describes the concept as "popsicle shop by day and cocktail bar by night."  Soon, the Holy City can indulge in boozy, frozen treats on a stick.

Crooked Crown: A Barely Regal PopBar will be the name of the establishment. McCarthy says they will match cocktails with seasonal flavors of popsicles in production and have alcoholic pops, or as he calls them, "poptails."

The shop will be located next to the Bull Street Gourmet in the Elan Midtown Building on Spring Street. McCarthy is currently looking for a general manager/operating partner. Check in for more details as they come.
