Executive chef Blake Joyal and the team at James Island's Screen Door are hustling to put the final touches on the menu and the restaurant's interiors before the late May opening. Screen Door worked with architect Reggie Gibson to update 1271 Folly Rd. into a vision of a modern American eatery.
The interior isn't completely finished, but recently Eater had a chance to poke around before the big reveal. Here's a few photos of the main dining room, the open wood-fire grill kitchen, and some details from the patio.
