Chef/owner of R. Kitchen, Ross Webb, is bringing a new lunch menu to the restaurant. Webb wants to offer two dishes a day (one meaty and one vegetarian) with a choice of a side and beverage for $12. Webb will write the offerings at the beginning of the month and post it online. Think of it as a grown-up cafeteria menu without the square pizza. For example, customers will know in advance that every other Wednesday is fish and chips day or Fridays are for lamb bolognese.
Webb says, "My goal is for the guest to come for the dish. I want the people to say, hey let's go there on Tuesday because I really want the jambalaya (or whatever dish winds up being that day)."
Starting next week, lunch service will run Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
