NOMO — Fans of pitmaster John Lewis' brisket won't have to wait until his new restaurant, Lewis Barbecue, opens to sample his smoked meats. Starting June 6, NoMo beer barn Revelry Brewing will host Lewis and his smoker every Saturday for a Summer Barbecue Series. The 10 Conroy St. establishment will soon be a one-stop-shop for IPAs and spicy sausages. [EaterWire]
WESTSIDE — Lee Lee's Hot Kitchen invites The Obstinate Daughter chef de cuisine Will Fincher for a "mash-up" dinner on May 13. Co-owner Lily Lei, Fincher, and new Lee Lee's executive chef Jeff Cali will present a menu of Italian and Chinese influences. Fincher is thinking of udon carbonara, fried broccoli farro, and chive crespelle. The dinner is $65, which includes pairings. Call (843) 822-5337 to reserve a seat.[EaterWire]
CANNONBOROUGH/ELLIOTBOROUGH — A new taco shop popped up downtown last week. Post and Courier's Hanna Raskin was the first to notice Garcia's Tortilla House at 100 A Spring St. The small restaurant makes its own tortillas, serves breakfast tacos, and the owners hail from San Antonio. There's a photo of the menu on Twitter. [P&C]
