Ah, the spoils of spring: fresh lobster rolls, soft-shell crabs, burgers on the grill — why not combine all these luxuries into one unholy creation meant to be consumed as a sandwich? That's exactly what chef Brannon Florie came up with at The Granary yesterday evening. Mondays are lobster roll night at the Mount Pleasant restaurant, and at 5:54 p.m., Florie unleashed a mammoth stack of a fried softie, sandwiched between two lobster rolls, with a burger thrown in for good measure.
While Florie's photo looks like a nature show capturing the late-night mating habits of a brioche bun with a beef patty (blame the lighting), writer Eric Doksa also stopped by The Granary that evening to document the inconceivable creation with a more artfully directed photo. Doksa even brought a friend to finish the entire plate.

Soft-shell season is short, so this lobsofturger (softlobstger?) may not make another appearance on The Granary menu, but there's always lobster roll Mondays.
