Looking for a bento box or okonomi-waffle on-the-go? Now there's a food truck for that. "Untraditional Japanese" mobile kitchen Short Grain went live this past Friday with their brand of rice bowls, seasonal vegetable salads, and add-an-egg assortments.
Co-owners Shuai Wang and Corrie Franklyn Wang are food and beverage vets hailing from New York. Shuai previously worked at non-traditional izakaya Chez Sardine in the West Village, and Corrie has front-of-house experience.
Short Grain takes post at software company SPARC on Daniel Island today from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The listed schedule puts them traveling all over the Lowcountry for the remainder of the month.
