Remember when the streets of Charleston were lined with frozen yogurt shops as far as the eye could see? Lower King was dubbed the "Froyo District," and college students happily lapped up the low-fat soft serve. Suddenly, 32° A Yogurt Bar shuttered, and then it was Yogurt Mountain, and now it looks like the stronghold of FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Cafe might be out. The windows at the 39 George St. establishment are covered, and their voicemail is full (perhaps of queries to their closing?).
Presumably, this is the slow season for frozen treats — it's chilly, and the students are on spring break — so perhaps the shop is renovating?
If you've got the scoop let us know.
