Over the weekend, Bob Carter project Barony Tavern took a few steps toward opening. The upcoming eatery, located in the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel, opened the bar on Friday. The cocktail lounge is housed outside of the dining room however — it's like a buffer between the restaurant and the lobby.

Also, the former Wentworth Grill placards are gone and replaced with the new signage for Barony Tavern. Boards in the hotel boast a March opening date for the restaurant, so they have a few more days to meet the deadline.
