It's been several months since the owner of burger tavern Coleman Public House announced he would take over the former Mustard Seed building on James Island, but construction has finally commenced. City Paper spoke with proprietor Brian Tanner to confirm he would bring the same winning Angus beef and beer combo found in Mount Pleasant to 1970 Maybank Hwy.

The new restaurant, named Maybank Public House, received permits for construction earlier this month and demolition of the interiors is underway. There isn't an opening date yet, but check back here for any new information.
