After the news of the fall of Wet Willie's this morning, and the disappointment that a long-standing Charleston establishment closed, it seems that another casual concept may be on the way out. Southeastern Mexican franchise La Hacienda is currently for sale.
The King Street purveyor of free chips, picture menus, and Fireball margaritas (yeah, that's a thing) stood on King Street for 10 years. Every college town seems to have a cheap Mexican restaurant, and La Hacienda was there for undergrads of the Charleston.
For $325,000, you can keep it running, or update it into the restaurant of your King Street dreams.
